Hi
When we pulling of the site where we had been for two weeks holiday,we caught the back end of caravan on some like bollards. We damaged the awning rail, the back of the van which is plastic, the lights and some damage to bottom offside panel. We contacted our insurance company who told us to take it to a caravan repair place for an estimate which wedid last week, they have just been on phone and told us cos of the age of the van 1990 they cant get any parts for it and if they do they will have to be made up which will up the cost and cant put price onto it till they have been made. So thye are going to send letter saying cos of age they cant get parts.
Been on to insurance company and they said they will send out their engineer to inspect damage and then come up with something........I am really worried abt this as i think thye might just scrap it and its our first caravan and i absolutely love it.
Has anyone else had this type of thing happen to them and what did the insurance company come up with?
