Hi took oh and kids to site yesterday loaded van as usual even weight dist noseweight correct tyre pressures checked towball cleaned (alko used brake cleaner) got under way and was rather worried that the van was bouncing more than tigger stopped double checked everything still had problem tow car ic citroen c5 estate had slight bounce before but not this bad any advice would be appreciated thanks andy

Sounds like you need new spheres on the Citoen, just had mine done - what a difference, feels like I'm gliding instead of using a pogo stick.

hi ricpop, had them about 20000 miles ago it's got the hydroactive 3 so even putting the sports mode on which stiffen things up did not help much, checked the fluid resivoir and thats full when the van gets back will tow it with our audi see if it happens then

update tried her (oh says its a she) with our audi a6 still bouncing should this happen with a 5 month old van

We had a 'bouncy van' problem a few weeks ago when we went away with our full awning in the back of the car instead of the Ultima awning in the 'van (it's packed over the axle) - van was quite 'twitchy' and bouncy.  So we will now take the little awning with us even when the big awning comes too - the extra weight over the axle seems to make a huge difference.
