First post here, so be gentle with us! We are seasoned campers and are looking to "upgrade"! to a tin tent. Fed up with damp canvas and stringing it up in the garage!
We only have a 1.4 Seat Leon and we like the look of the Eriba Puck L's, as they are compact, light and the L has a longer bed for the other half!
We are going to take a trip to a place in Poole, Dorset who deal in decent second hand ones, and they all look great!
So my questions are....Does anyone have/know of any alternatives? Are eriba's a good buy? Any pro's/con's you seasoned caravaners can tell us? Anything we should be looking out for when viewing? Infact any wisdom you can impart!!!
Any help greatly appreciated.

In terms of quality the Eriba is superb, its part of the Hymer group so no fears there. There are smaller vans like the Freedom range but they don't measure up in terms of quality. Have you considered a folding caravan? Just check that the weights are OK for the car.

I don't know much about the Eriba myself, however, I regularly pass a dealers in Lechlade Gloucestershire & judging by the amount they have passing through the place I'd say they must be a good job. If you don't have a dealer near you, pop up to Lechlade & have a look, they're on the Faringdon road out of Lechlade. Lovely spot too.
Thank you for all your hints. Basil brush, thanks, The Lechlade place is the UK offical for Eriba new vans. Bit out of our league on price. We are going to pop up to Dorset next week.
Thanks also to Carr and Hazel for all your attachments and links....x

Go for it, but first check out

You'll be more than happy with an Eriba. Mine is the "big-brother"- a Triton, but I get 45mpg when towing with my Skoda Fabia(1.9 Tdi), 35 mpg with my previous Honda Civic petrol.
