Hi all

We leave our beds made up most of the time, bunks on the side and a double at the front

We were wondering if its safe to travel with the bunks left up and made??

Will it throw the C of G up and to the side, or would it just rattle and bang to bits?

Yes i know i am lazy and just can't be a*&^d to put it all away but........

Oh well of to Wales tomorrow-bet it rains lol

We sometimes leave the double made but i always take the bunks down.

I could be wrong but the caravan has to have some sort of flex in it and having the bunks up will act like a brace and could cause damage.

Like i said i could have it completly wrong but thats part of the reason why i take the bunks down.

We always leave the small double made up but take the bunk down even though it's a pain, I don't like the thought of it flying round the van if it comes loose.

In our last van they recommended that the van never travelled with the bunk up, and thinking about it there will be a lot of stresses on the couple of screws on the wall plate. Take it down to be safe.

Safer if you take bunks down, as it could cause your outfit to sway a bit. Hope you enjoy your trip to Wales , sorry to say it's raining here at the moment
