Hi Tom,
My sister has a compass albeit a few years older than the one you are looking to buy and has had no problems as yet with damp, I think it really depends on the individual caravan rather than the make/model. Caravans are all pretty much made by hand and the materials used in the construction vary very little from maker to maker. In my opinion it is usually down to poor workmanship in the factory that causes problems shortly after leaving the factory rather than inferior quality caravans.
It's more a case of luck then judgement if your caravan stays dry for many years to come.
