Hi
I posted on here a few months back about caravan,we had a bump as we were leaving a caravan site in Spain and cracked the back panel and the awning rail was all bent and the side of the van. Well we got in touch with our insurance company who sent an engineer out as Ropers explained the caravan is 16 year old and getting parts for it would be a nightmare, the engineer said he could give us a 700 quid cash settlement as we were told of a place online where we could get the back panel from..........well that would be 400quid then they would be labour charges on top of that as well as awning rail and side of van.........Ropers wont give us a quote on the back panel said we would have to put van and the panel together so in other words we would have to fork out for it what if its not the right size we lose out.
Help we are not sure what to do and we dont know what the market value would be for the caravan so confused........any advice would be appreciated
thanks Joanne & Mike
