Hi, i wonder if anyone can be of help:how does satellite tv work in the van,do you need a sky card, these satellite systems you see on ebay for caravans state you can get 200 plus chanels but how would it work without a card, steve
Hi Steve You can get "Freesat" without a card. Its a bit like Freeview but not all the channels..no chan 4 or 5, but you do gain other channels most of which are just rubbish. You can get a Sky home card for £20 which gives you the missing english channels. I take our sky box from home including the full sky card so we get the full monty in the van. Hope this helps.

PS I got my dish and tripod from ebay.

You need a Sky box for the card to work. The ones that come with the dishes from Aldi / Maplin do not have a slot for the card.
