Thanks to everyone who helped with my insurance dilemma ! Caravan Club will insure us but on the same phone call found out that our Chrysler Grand Voyager is not capable of pulling the caravan we wanted because of the noseweight !! Bummer !

The G Voyager has a max towing weight of 1,600 but the lady from the caravan club said that the noseweight of our chosen van ( Ace Supreme Superstar) was not suitable. I was not aware that noseweight came in to the calculations.

Does anyone know of a good van that has double dinettes at each end and a bunkbed that goes over the two beds at the back of the van that is within 1,600 kerbweight and bigger than 5.50m ?

Bailey 500/5 is gorgeous and likely to be our choice of van when we get around to buying a new one.

Max weight 1450kg User payload 290kg

I'm not sure if they still make them now, but perhaps you could make some enquiries if you are looking ata new one, but as we are selling have loads of internal shots that I could e-mail you so you could see the layout. We have three teenagers who came away with us last week, and the double dinnettes came in really handy as the weather was foul, they could play cards etc up one end while we were down the other. I think the finish on the Fleetwood is brill too.
