Is it an immersed pump? Normally yes and in that case, probably the pump fully rests on the tank bottom and thus trensfers the 'humming', which is reinforced by the tank. If you can hang it a bit more free the noise will diminish.
If it is a fixed pump, mounted, than the mounting should be on rubber rings to diminich the transfer of vobrations/noise.

My own van has a traditional immersed pump, no pressurised system. If I leave it as it comes after refill it will make noise as it will fully rest on the floor of the tank. If I raise it a bit, in such a way that only the inlet is on the tank-bottom, there is hardly any sound, just a very soft hum.
In my case there is an extension of the tube, the fixed one and the extension to the pump. If I put that exactly in the lid/cap of the tank it is in a perfect position to fully empty the tank without nuisance. You could also make a mark on the piping, e.g. with a permanent marker. try first how the pump makes the least noise, than mark the spot.

Our tank is under the caravan,we use the aqua roll and external pump to pump the water in.We have just used this before with no noise, but as soon as we use the internal pump it makes a hell of a racket. We are very new to caravanning(2 weeks) and we just dont know what to do.
