Hi

We are looking at the above vehicle (SWB) as a new towcar.  It a 1997 model and in good condition with 80k on the clock.

I know there are other threads about Frontera's but would welcome some advice as to whether this would make a good towcar and what its downsides are?

Thanks

Frontera SWB can be a very thirsty car compared to the LWB, and thats with nothing on the back. Imagine how thirsty its gonna get towing.

I have the LWB 2.2, 34 mtg. But i think the LWB 2.5 TD would be better for power + juice. I'm not knocking my car, she's brill, but sometimes can struggle on a long incline.

hi, just bought a frontera 2.5 tds LWB and have had to buy an alko stabiliser because the blade type I have will not fit . Question is, is the  ( standard )        detachable tow hitch long enough to give sufficient clearance as advised in alko instructions ? Thanks.
