Oh shoot!

I was going to have the Orion. Never gave a thought to the pitch size. We only have a small van lengthwise and never thought about the extra width being a problem!

I'll have to sort something out soon. I want to use annexes on our next trip and cant with the harrison awning that we have because it doesn't have zip outs!

Would also like to get it up and weather it a little before using it because it poured in with the harrison, the first time we used it and I dont want to be in that situation again!

I hear you on the weight issue.

We have the Tuscany and bought the tailored annexe for both sides and I must admit it looks fantastic and the size of them are great. The only problem I have had is with condensation which I am putting down to myself as I must be doing something wrong ie: not letting the air in enough at night . Just out of curiosity is it me or has anyone else had this problem?

Any way all in all it's a great awning.

Hi we bought the 3m Orion this year to use on a Dart 556/6 and we have now used it a couple of times and it has been really good. The extra width comes in really useful and we haven't had a problem with pitch sizes, used once on a CC site and once on a private. The only thing I would say is that it was a bit stiff to put up the first time, had to use a spray on the awning rail, and some of the zips were a bit sticky but the second time it went up no problems at all and the more you use the zips the easier they get, I suspect this is just beacause it was new. It has never leaked and we did have some heavy rain, but there was a bit of water collect on the roof. I would definately recommend the Orion as it is  very good value for  money, the next 3m awning would of cost us at least £800!

Hope this helps

Donna

Well, I have taken the plunge and bought the corsican with the alloy frame.

I have recieved one bed annexe with it and another one will arrive this week.

I am having a problem with the bed annexe, the zip is about 6" shorter on the annexe than on the side panel of the awning.

Was wondering if I am doing something really stupid?

Have you any idea smh582003/steve? Thought I would ask because you have annexes.

The awning is smashing and went up easily but I dont know what I am doing with this annexe.

Sorry Jillala, But I can'nt help on that , ours is ok , but having said that I phoned pyramid with some other problem I had with the annexe poles and they asked me to check that the colour of the zip on the annexe was the same colour as the zip on the awning . Perhaps it has something to do with that. If you phone them they are really helpfull . Heres their number. 01623 754567.

Let me know how you get on

Thanks Steve.

I actually thought that I was buying from Pyramid when I ordered them but that is a different number and now see that the company is called frontier leisure.

I am going to ring the company that I got them from tomorrow, when they open. If I do not get any joy, I will phone the number that you have supplied and see if I can get some help from there.

Will let you know.

Jill

Jill,

I posted this below on your annex thread. Have copied it here in case you dont see it.The Pyramid manufacturer has changed this year I was told and so have the zips. Although it may be that if your awing & annexe actually zip zip together, could be that it's the right version, with maybe a manufacturers error?........

Let us know how you get on?

Ian.

We bought a new Pyramid Tuscany awning last May. Wanted to get the tailored annexe in July. Was informed that it was important to know a) the colour of the zip on the awning and b) whether the awning was the 2006 model. They said it was marked on the box the awning came in. Never kept the box! have enough junk as it is! What to do? I seemed to remember that the box had yellow and red circular stickers in it and 'mark 2' was written on it in marker ink. Armed with this info, we took the risk and ordered the tailored annexe. (I say we, my darling wife said " On your head be it") The problem was, they told us that if we had opened and tried the annexe and it did'nt fit they could not change it!! (Potential £119 up the spout!!!

It fitted perfectly!! (BTW - thay don't come with inner tent!) And was easy to fit and quite spacious!

If you have bought the awning and annexe together, if you have the wrong model annexe, surely the supplier would have a responsibility to change it. Are the zips the same colour on your awning & annexe? This would be important. Hope this helps .....

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the reply.

Both zips are grey. I did wonder about the date of annexe etc. when I read Basilbrush's reply on the other thread. With the Corsican being new out this year it did start the old grey matter ticking over!  No date or mark1 or 2 on box. There are yellow stickers on them all, though and a make/model number.

I was also thinking that the supplier would be obligated but I will not hold my breath, to be honest. I ordered 2 annexes and only one has arrived. They admitted that they were at fault though and will be sending tomorrow (4 days later). That is another reason that I would like to get in touch with them because if the annexes do not fit and there is a fault, I will have another one to sort out/send back!!

That said, they have been courteous when I have rung them because I also rang to ask about the inner tent (thought they were included )

Just a thought but did you pay the extra £65.00 for the inner or does a normal inner tent fit or do you not bother with one?
