We are just about to take the plunge and purchase our very first caravan (moving on from the tent.) We have been offered, through a friend of the family, a Bailey Discovery Limousin SE 1995. We have made an offer of £3750 and this has been accepted. We were just wondering if this is (a.) a good price and (b.) if van is any good. The van has no sign of any damp what so ever. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Baileys are excellent caravans. As for the price...(I don't have much idea...but,) I would think that caravans, (like every other thing you can buy,) is worth what you are willing to give for it. Its got to be better buying from someone you know than buying blind because you know what sort of folk you are buying from.
If you are happy with the van and the price...don't worry....just sit back and enjoy your time away

hi my book (CARAVAN BUYER COMES OUT ONCE A YEAR IN JAN) that came out in jan says £4545,so your price (£3750) sounds very good,i would still test it with a damp meter, with permission of course.too late when you have paid your money.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Wonder if you could look up my van for me we went to a dealer who said it was only worth £2999 i would be greatful if you could see if this is about right for me please . The van is Bailey Discovery Bordeaux SE 1996. I telphone the dealer where it came from and he told me it was 1 of only 10 ever made for the NEC show in that year Thanks
