ps: The lowest mileage I ever received from a tankful of unleaded was 135miles. Its a 65L tank.

long run / mway  45-50 mpg

towing 30-32 mpg

Mondeo Tddi 2.0 130ps 85000miles on clock

Extra Urban (ie day to day) 50mpg bang on

Towing Avondale Dart with all the awning and gubbins approx 1200kgs and 3 kids and all the wifes shoes nosedives to 30mpg

Still better than my main car though so well chuffed :-)

Mondeo TDCI 130 Ghia X auto

Nearly same as Bev+Jon

Short runs 42 mpg

Towing 32 mpg Elddis 5 berth, 2 adults 3 big kids, big dog awning and kitchen sink.

Motorways around 50-55 mpg.

Very happy with these figures

Well done...you must have a light foot. I get 48mpg at 80ish on the motorway, and 31-33 when towing (1300kg)

Mind you these are the displayed figures...must check it for real one day.

I am a pretty new caravanner, so I do take it very easy, and the trips that |I have done have been largely motorway miles. Once confidence rises, mpg will drop...sadly.

short trips around town up and down dale  17 to 23 mpg

last year up to scotland east coast and back down west coast to home mostly towing 1400 miles over 2 weeks period averaged 22mpg .

Commuting 16 - 18 mpg

Motorway run (keeping below 70mph) 18 - 22 mpg

Towing (M/way & A roads):

850kg Monza 12 - 15 mpg

1750kg car transporter trailer 10 - 14 mpg

Did a week up to Onich averaged 22.5 mpg towing & solo

Freelander TD4 manual box.

Local solo 36-38mpg

Long run solo 42-44mpg

Towing 1340kg 30-32mpg

Changed both car and van still working new figures out.

Toyota Avensis D4D T2 manual 5 speed

Local solo    48 mpg

Distance      55 mpg

1200kg tow  33 mpg   (with a following wind  + 5mpg )

Aircon           - 5 mpg on all these figures
