Hi lynndyloo, what birth is the Transtar, we have a 1989 Abi Award Tristar (pics are on My Homepage) ours is a 5 birth, I can check tomorrow what width the van is for sure, but I think it's just over 7 ft wide. Have a look at my pics cos I think they might be the same design with the same width size, if you want me to check measurements for sure, I can do that tomorrow.

in my book only have the 1996 ABI transtar ....... length = 14ft.8 inch / width = 7ft.1 inch / unladen weight = 20 cwt /max gross = 25.58 cwt OR  ring ABI on tel. 01482-883344. hope this helps

The ABI caravans brochure from 1990 (all models) can be found here:-

- Highbridge Caravans website has most of the original brochures (in pdf format) for the second hand vans on their forecourt.  You just have to hope that there is one for the year you are looking for.  You don't have to match the model as most manufacturers put them all together in one brochure - so just look for any ABI van of the year you are interested in!

Unfortuntely, it doesn't look like any 1989 ABI brochures are there at the moment.

Try http://www.highbridgecaravans.co.uk and browse the used caravans until you find a relevant pdf and then see if you can open it using Adobe Reader.

they have not got one on for this caravan if you see your model for sale it looks like you can click on a brochure for that one,

                                                       width  is 7'

overall length from end hitch to rear is            19'

there is a plate near back door which says   980kg     

From the original owners handbook 1989 & the 89 brochure in my possession as all other relevant documentation to this model wiring diagram & all on board accessories

Today you should up grade your Tyres to 165 x 13 90T as the manufactures spec is illegal in France & other countries I believe.   It may be required here
