Round here the Bio diesel costs more than the normal and I don't think it's a very high percentage of vegetable oil anyway.
When "heavy oil" engines were first invented it was done so that the third world countries could have reliable transport that they could produce their own fuel for rather than being reliant on importing from oil rich countries. (Or so I read somewhere) Ah, found it "When Rudolph Diesel, who invented the engine that bears his name, showed it at the 1900 World's Fair, he declared that his engine could be fueled by peanut oil and thus farmers could grow their own energy source."
I really don't understand why our Government doesn't encourage the use of vegetable oil for transport. Then our farmers could benefit instead of the rich OPEC countries.
