Went to the Malvern show on Saturday and looked at the launch of these.  We were really disapointed as they have withdrawn the Vendee "due to customer views".  We really love our Vendee.  The one thing we noted that out of all of the new range only the Provence has a rear window.  Looking at the other ranges it now seems quite the norm to not have a rear window.  We like a rear window that OH can see through whilst towing and also for the increased natural light in the van.  Other than that apart from the upholstery and now they have stainless sinks there isn't that much difference.

I seem to remember that Bailey were not going to revamp any of their series for 5 years when they had done the new relaunches.  Seems strange that they now do this after just two.

Interesting feedback, I have been wondering what the new ones are like and I will be going to look once our dealer has them in.

Did you see the Bretagne? Does that still have 2 small rear windows where the bunk beds are at the back? Like you, my Husband finds it really useful to have a rear window when towing.
Thanks
Nicki

Hi Nikki

I didnt look at that one.  So I cant comment.  When I tackled the Salesman about the rear windows, he just told me to write in.  Have a look on the website and see.  I have just tried to look but my computer went really slow and froze.

We rather like the Burgundy, planning to have a good look at them at the NEC, just hope the dealers are in a generous part ex mood.

Hi Margaret

We have had a few problems.  The waste water was seeping out under the cooker from the sink , the joint had come away from the pipe.  (design fault).    We had a new roof blind as it keeps getting badly creased as its like cardboardy stuff. Dealers changed the battery charger.  Even so we love the van and its layout.  Its just that when we want to change it there seems to be a trend as to not having a rear window if you have a fixed bed layout and OH does like to see through when he is towing.  We have had ours now for 18 months.

Cheers

Hi Guys. We have just gone out in our new Bailey Pagaent Vendee (Series 6) with the bed at the front and absolutely love it. We have not had any problem or issues with it and for the money, you cant better it. We were toying with the Avondale eagle which is similar (apart from the bed position) but it was another £4k more which we couldnt justify. Whilst we were travelling from one part of the country to the other we didnt see another Vendee on the road? Not sure if its the bed at the front putting people off or but we dont find that an issue. cheers, Rob
