Took the new van away to kielder water cc site set the van up no probs and got the awning all set up and pegged out just taking the first sip of the magners when the wife said it was very good of suncamp to supply extra poles incase of damage (not sure if she was being sarcastic or just stupid only joking) anyway i looked everwhere and couldn't find where they go i put the the upright ones in also 2 that run lenght of awning but the 2 remaining ones are steel one end has plastic cap and the other a small thiner nail like end as if to fit in ring. Awning stayed up and was fine but just wondering will check box for instructions now i am home and before anyone suggests i have allread suggested to the wife where to stick them lol.
Hi, I have the suncamp 260 and it takes me 20mins in total to pit up. Its great for when your only away for the weekend and dont want to put up the full awning. Also, the two extra poles are indeed used to make a porch area. Just fully unzip one of the front sections, put the small nail like ends through the brass eyelets and the plastic ends sit on the floor. Use the guy ropes to keep them upright.
The awning was very easy and only took about 20 mins to put up and peg out all on my own and that was first time with instructions still at home so you should have no problems if you have been using tents. The awning was also a good size and ideal for winter and weekend breaks, also 100% waterproof as we had some heavy showers at night.
