We were stuck in traffic on the A55 on saturday for over an hour and eventually came across the cause,Twin axle hobby and a very sorry looking disco on a tow truck, don't think anyone seriously injured thankfully. As i went past I thought i'm sure the big hobby's have to be towed by a commercial vehicle?? ie a large van or pick up etc.Could some one confirm this or otherwise, thanks.
We were traveling back up the M6 yesterday doing 55mph when we were overtaken by a caravan driven by a lady 70ish doing at least 70mph in the middle lane. Everybody gave them a wide berth as it was snaking like the billy, fortunately it turned off onto the M62. Wonder if she made it to her destination.

Hi, These Hobby vans are huge and are serious challengers for most 4X4s but I'm sure the Toyota Amazon would have handled it...It could be my next towcar....Floyd.
we may have seen each other - we were stuck in the same `jam (going to Anglesey for a wet week). Having an friend with a Hobby and a `Rangy` 4x4, we are often `reminded` that Land Rover vehicles can tow anything, and I think from memory (and Whattowcar.com) that it`s ok for a Disco to pull a Hobby that size (but obviously more carefully than that one (I`ll let him off if he had a blowout))
