I fitted a Powrtouch to my last van. When I changed to a heavier van, I had to upgrade to a more powerful unit; same motors, but additional gearing. The exchange cost about £310, and Powrtouch handled all the carriage arrangements wthout any extra cost. Their service was brilliant, and I thoroughly recommend them.
Like Vic, I use the unit for virtually every movement of the van. When reversing the van, you can stand behind it; something not possible when pushing it with the tow vehicle, and no having to rely on shouted instructions. Manoeuvring is simple, very precise and effortless. I would not be without it. We can also set out late, for overnight driving, without disturbing the neighbours.
Bertie.

Hi Bedlam
Yes, I find myself always wanting the goods, but reluctant to pay for them!
If you decide to bite the bullet and pay for a remote motor-mover, I would be willing to bet you'll find more occasions to use it on than you originally thought!
We bought a Powrtouch, which we future-proofed by buying the heavy-duty model, although not a necessity at the time. We've now ordered a new heavier van and are getting it transferred as part of the deal.
As Mr Ulti-mates is often heard to say 'the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten'
- In reality, I have forgotten the actual price, although I remember that it was a lot!!

Hiya' Bedlam,
Get the best Axle/wheel mover that you can afford..... after all, they are all FREE.!! More or less, anyway. Every van that we have sold up to now has had a mover on it and when we have mentioned this....either with a dealer or private sale....they always allow you the extra for it. If it is a good one in good nick you will almost get your money back when you sell the van......or.....you can have it changed over onto your new van as we have done this time.
Good Luck
Les Wilson.
