Hi can anyone help,

My dad has bought a swift concerer 640 2002 and the truma ultraheat fire i think its called has no intructions.

I have sussed out the blownair part but we would like to know a bit more about it.

I.E. what do the symbols on the fire mean (1) has an A (1) has a white dot and the other has a white line . We will be useing it on electric only not gas.

As he is useing it in the winter months i would like to get this sorted for him before it gets cold.

Thanks very much.

Kind regards.

Not sure if its the same as ours but the A is for the blownair fan-automatic(turns its self up/down),the dot is to turn the fan off and the other is the manual setting if there is a dial with numbers from 1-10 to alter the speed of the fan. hope this helps

The numbers are the wattage that you can change for the electric heating.500 the lowest,2000 the highest. We usually put it on 2000 until the van has warmed up with the blown air then put it on 1000. If we just have the fire on we tend to put it on the 500.I think you are better with the lower setting if you have several electric items being used, may trip the hookup. We have just discovered our caravan has a gas or electric water heater, couldn't understand how we could have hot water even with the gas turned off, a friend pointed out a red light that we had egnored was the switch to turn the emersion heater on/off !! only taken 2 years to find this out.

So far I've heated my water by electric, how do you switch it to gas please. Not sure mine can, but would like to try. I've a Lunar Solaris.

Also any ideas how i can stop my heater clicking without having to remove the battery for gas ignition please.

The fan system is an 'add on' to the standard Truma 3002 gas fire, the Ultraheat is also an add on and is an electric element similar to look at to the element in an electric cooker but with just three heat settings. The problem with this is each has a separate control but all work together in any combination.

Apart from 'off' the fan has two working settings and a fan speed dial, 'A' is for Automatic where the fan speed rises and falls to the maximum set speed on the dial. the other position keeps the fan at a constant speed again as set by the dial.

The Ultraheat control has three heat output settings (500w, 1000w or 2000w) and a temperature dial similar to the homes thermostat but marked 1-9 instead of in degrees. 7 is roughly 20degC with each division about 1.5degs up or down.

The gas fire control dial is also numbered, 1 roughly represents 15degs and 10 35degs but it's not as precise as the electric heating control and experience will find the best setting for the van.
