Hi Ruth,
My family's not as large as yours now, just my wife and I, and although I've never owned a Geist, I have been taking a very keen interest in a Geist XK 565. It's attraction to us is the twin fixed beds, end bathroom and solid build quality, all on a single axle.
We were recently at the Birmingham NEC Caravan and Motorhome Show, where we saw many very nice caravans but the only one to meet the above requirements, particularly with respect to twin fixed beds and end bathroom on single axle, was the Geist XK 565.
However, the overriding impression I got was that it was a very desireable quality caravan to have, only marred by my wifes wishes of having light wood veneer finish rather than dark wood of the XK 565 interior panel work.
The upshot of it all is that, Geist seem to have their finger on the pulse of what caravaners want, earlier than British manufacturers do.
I hope this is of some interest to you, and helps your decision making.
Regards Roger
