hi on the last van we had we took all the cutains of and washed them with the liners on in a mild wash, came out fine.pressed with a table cloth over the top damp.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
if you was to ask this question on the tent section
it has been asked lots of times regarding packing tents away damp the common advice would be to use milton as a 1 in 10 dilution(from memory i would do a quick search to make sure)

never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you on experience
Have read somewhere "To get rid of mildew on clothes, make a paste of lemon juice and salt and rub it on the affected area, then dry the clothes in sunlight. Repeat the process until the stain is gone. This works well for rust stains on clothes too." This would be applicable to curtain linings too.

Hi topcat, have you tried putting bowls of salt in your van over the winter, this prevents the mildew forming as all the condensation is absorbed by the salt. There are also some granules that can be bought that are perfumed, but salt does the job just as well.
Topcat, we had mildew on the underneath of out seating and we used Flash spray with bleach!! It didnt take the colour off and as you only need it on the linings, Im sure it will be fine. Just spray it on the affected area rub in with a clean teatowel or cloth and hey presto mildew free!!
