Happy New Year to all ! Having moved house this Summer I've noticed the old wagon is collecting an awful lot more algae and vegetation than in our previous place. The storage situation is similar except that maybe the previous parking place was a bit more enclosed by building and tall shrubbery whereas here the van's exposed on three sides except for one side facing the house, which seems to be keeping cleanest. It would seem exposed areas suffer worst. Any tips on keeping the green stuff to a minimum would be appreciated.
I agree with the others,we give ours a pre winter clean and polish and then use a breathable cover. It saves you washing it on the first trip of the year.Which I cannot wait for haven,t planned anything yet.Lets get crimbo over with and then look forward to booking holidays and weekend,s away.
it really makes life easier in the spring when you just wash it off with caravan cleaner and all the c%$p falls off, and a quick application of Bobby dazzler finishes the process.
Whatever you do, dont be tempted to pressure wash the algae off, You'll force water and damp into the seams, do it by hand with a soft brush and a couple of times a year give it a polish with a decent polymer sealant that'll help loads.
