I think Mr Ulti-mates and me are going to redeem ourselves a bit here ...

Whilst we do carry way too much equipment, we only pack a few clothes, towels etc,. and I do launder and re-use them whilst we are on hols, using the site laundry facilities.

We only pack enough foodstuff to see us through our arrival - so one of our first chores is a trip to the nearest supermarket too.

We don't really care that we're doing 'chores' - as long as we're away in our caravan, instead of at work, we're happy & relaxed!

I  nearly bought one of those rotary lines last summer when we called into an accessories shop. They had the top and bottom on offer, can't remember how much. The thing that stopped me was I thought it might topple over in the wind!  How exactly do you attach the bungees etc?

The idea of being able to wash and dry our clothes and leave them down there is extremely attractive, but the campsite dryer takes ages (and a lot of dosh). As it is, I leave stuff there, then the following week can't remember what's down there and take even more stuff!

Karen, we set out the bottom tripod thingy and then use two shortish bungees and criss-cross them over the tripod and peg them inwith a couple of tent pegs.  Mr Ultimates has to take the credit for this simple, but effective solution.  Pity he hasn't learned how to sort the whites from the colours though!!!!

Only a woman would say that!! 

The washing machine thingy only takes 15 minutes. We use the generator to power it. The supermarket wash tablets are ideal for it.

Ermm, we've ordered a new Swift Challenger 530. It's only a few inches bigger (every inch counts says Mr Ulti-mates).  It is heavier though and we'll be towing at close to 100% - so we absolutely must not exceed the MTPLM.  We considered every make, model and layout of UK and German van - and then bought one almost the same as the one we already have!!  We're counting the days now until it rolls off the production line on 17th Jan - hopefully we'll pick it up a couple of weeks after that.

We might just do that, Stourport would be quite do-able as a weekend break destination for us.

We'll be easy to spot - we will be trying to look very unobtrusive and slick when we set-up, whilst conducting a muffled row with eachother at the same time!

Ian - no fair - ours doesn't open till about mid-March!! (Then again we're on grass so I can see their point).

You will find us on pitch 2, plus 4 Yorkies and 1 cat. There is a ukcampsite sticker on the front of the caravan. ou are welcome to pop in and say "hi".
