hello fellow caravaners

brought a new caravan just over a year ago and have been using haven sites for long weekends and weeks away while we got used to it but now we want to explore other sites and facilities but not sure how to go about it .

some people have mentioned the caravan club and some have mentioned the caravan and camping club. does anyone have any comments on these two club as to which is the best for value and quality.

any advice would be useful as we are still quite new to it all.

many thanks

Hi and welcome,
As you probably imagine this has been discussed many times before. Have a read Here
which is the first one I found.
I believe there are pluses and minuses to both.

Mike

To be honest, I've delivered to a few of the CC sites, the sites I've seen are always first class & very very well kept. The monthly magazine is worth the yearly membership fee on its own. The club runs rallies every weekend as well as holiday sites but I've not been on them so can't comment.

I was in the C&CC club for a few years & it is, in my opinion a very friendly club, the people I met in it were first class & I found the magazine there also worth the fee on its own. This club also runs rallies every weekend & holiday sites during the main season, I've been on both & enjoyed both very much.

Both clubs offer a lot to its members & I'll be joining both this year for a year to decide which one I'll stick with.

Whichever club you join, I hope you'll enjoy it, I believe you can go to club sites on both sides without being a member because some sites accept non members. You could try both sites & decide from what you see.

I hope you'll stick with this forum, it has a wealth of advice & help from a lovely helpful bunch of people who are always happy to offer their advice to help people out.

Hi, have just joined CC and found the web site not as user friendly as C&CC which have used a lot. In my opinion thier club sites are great and would go back to any of them thet i have used, major plus point is that all the toilet and shower blocks are well kept.

CC plus point is that there is more choice of venues around the country.

We're members of both. The facilities at the Caravan Club Sites tend in our opinion to be better, but the C & CC Club Sites are perfectly adequate and some people say more friendly.

The Club Magazines and Info are in our opinion better from the Caravan Club.

However, we have personally found the Caravan Club becoming more and more commercial in its approach, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but does mean it loses some of the advantages it had over the purely commerical sites.

We probably will not renew our membership of either club this year.

Why not consider both for a year and see which suits you best?
