We are due to move house and have arranged for the caravan to go into storage for about 3 months while we have work done on the house.Do we need to inform the insurance company and will it affect our premiums ?

I would as it is a dead cert that if you (God forbid) need to make a claim, and you have not told them about a change of location, they will not pay.

yes tell them ---AND if you do it by phone write down the name of the bod you are speaking to-just in case.

 I would also ask them to confirm it in writing, that way there is no way they can deny knowing about it.

I hope we don't get a space next to the cockerspadgers, I've seen them reversing,only joking there mates of ours !!

i recently moved my caravan from one storage site to another closer to where we live.i was thinking the same as you until i read my policy and it did state that if the van was to be moved  location insurers would need to know new details etc otherwise insurance void. i rang my insurance company the following day , i did take down the persons name i spoke to and asked them for a letter to confirm change over. i know you may find this all a little bit over the top but believe me its sods law if you didnt contact them something would happen . i do hope this helps
