It depends on what your car jack is like.
The Alko scissor and side lift jacks fit into a bracket on the van chassis to avoid slipping.
You could make up brackets to fit the mounting holes in the van chassis and use them with your car jack if its suitable.
I had some square section tube with a plate welded on to bolt onto the chassis of my first van in 1996 (B & B and stronger than todays!) I then used the VW Beetle jack to good effect.
