Considering the cost of them they are OK.  We bought one last year and have been happy with it.  Find it easy to erect too.  We had some horrific rain on our  first 3 - 4 outings with it and it let water in around the seams and especially down one side around the zipped panel (although it did say in the instructions this may happen until the seams had weathered)  We were going to get ourselves some of the spray sealant that you can buy but a friend of ours who is a caravan fitter and a caravaner himself,  gave us some and when we were out with it one weekend (on one of those rare occasions when it didn't rain) sprayed it everywhere and have to say we've had no problems since.  I think we may give it another coat though to be on the safe side.

I suppose it's down to choice and sometimes you do get what you've paid for.  It was the price that did it for us. When we changed the old caravan for one a few years newer an awning didn't come with it and the majority of them were way over our budget.

Also I hope to change the caravan again within the next couple of years and so I dontt want the expense of possibly having to buy another one!!!

I'm sure you'll have some other responses shortly.

Cheers.

Jacksprat

We bought a Tuscany Awning last year and it is excellent value for money and with most of the features found in much more expensive awnings.

We also had some leaks on the seams the first time we used it but not bad considering it was up for 4 days of torrential rain and we haven't had the problem again. We used it about 10 times last year and found it easy to set up and very solid in strong winds (and it has clips for tie down straps sewn in).

If I was buying it again I may go for the alloy poles for the weight reduction and the curtains are a bit flimsy but other than that I am very happy with the awning.

Hope this helps

J

I had a big decision whether to go for the tuscany or the dorema scirroco - i was swayed to the sirocco when i saw both erected at waudbys. the sirroco's material was far more solid and it just seemed so better made. And for another £100 it was worth it. Id say go for dorema they have a good anem and are more solid. i reckon the other £100 will be worth the fact it will last longer.

I bought  a 975cm Tuscany awning last July for our van. Obviously the price was the key factor for buying it. It arrived after only 2 days of ordering it and we erected it that day to make sure all was there as we were going away for 3 weeks the following week.

We were totaly amazed at the fantastic quality for the money. We had a slight leak problem when on holiday  but as the instructions said it will seal, it did .

Great buy, go for it.

Ours is the Tuscany too.  Dorema are probably a better quality but at the time £100 extra was out of the question for us.

Thanks for the feedback, like i say its a good price we have been quoted we will only use it for 2-4 weeks a year so aslong as its ok for a good 3-4 yrs which im sure it should be then its looking like the corsican that is unlsee i can find a cheap dorema or bradcot but i doubt they will be able to touch that price cheers Dave
