Hi James and welcome to the club! Just read your thread and I have updated my site today, there may be some things on there to help.
Go to http://www.bailey94.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk can't find how to drop a link for it, have to do it the old fashioned way,
Cheers,

Hi Lawrence, I have had a good look around your site The page on removing and cleaning the awning rail was very useful, I'm hoping to make a similar site once the van's finished. Was it easy to remove your lockers? Mine seem to be glued/stapled to the roof and don't want to move at all . How is your project coming along?

Cheers, James

Ps, Thanks for the tip Shane, just looked at your gallery picture, looks like this is the way I might also have to do things too.

Hi James, The lockers were a bit of a pain to remove, look at my site under Damp in locker number 10 follow link Locker removal, this shows what I had to do, took a while, trying not to damage the roof, haven't put it back yet!! And yes the Staples are easier to remove than the screws which are screwed through the roof spars from the top, just prise the cupboard away from the ceiling using a scrap of thin ply and chisel then cut through the screws with a hacksaw blade, have someone else there to catch it!
My "project" has wallboard to go up, not sure what to use to glue it as the proper stuff is £58 for 5 kgs, but were all learning and no doubt it will end up on my site! Then there are all those rails to play with, it's my first web site, so thats been a steep learning curve too.

Hi wizard, I feel a few questions may be coming your way in the next week. I stripped the board 3/4 of the way up one of the walls and removed some totally rotten and soaked batons. You can see the screws coming through from the awning rail but they are just sticking through, all of the wood has gone. Everything is reasonably dry now but I still have to strip some boards back. However, I am stuck at a certain point. I have removed every screw from the rear lockers and have found that they are either glued or stapled to the roof. They move around but the tops are stuck tight. I have lots of pictures but they are too big to post here.

Thanks, James

Hi James , can you email the pictures to me so i can have a look .
I think you have three options , (1) side a hacksaw blade between the locker top and roof and cut through the fixings . ( 2 ) leave the locker in place and either wallboard around the locker sides or try and slide the wallboard behind the locker by pulling it forward slightly . ( 3 ) Try what Shane has done .
