Hi people.

Having just upgraded my caravan i need to sell my old one & hoped someone can  give me an idea how much to put up for sale.

Its a 12ft (well just under) 1987/88ish Compass Echo 340 2 Berth, Plastic Double Glazed Tinted Windows, Mains & 12v Electics, 3 Way Fridge, Hob & Oven, Heater, Toilet & Washbasin compartment. Complete with Full Awning, Leisure Battery, Porta-Potti, Spare Wheel, Gas Bottles & Hitchlock. VGC Throughout, Very Lightweight 625kg.  

Any thoughts anyone ??

Why not put it in the free advert section and put offers

a mate of mine has just sold a 1982/3 ABI globetrotter 4 berth with all the trimmings for £600 and i told him that was cheap. so , at a guess bearing in mind yours is a tad newer and is a small two berth it should go for around the £700 mark. it might be an idea to put it up for £1000 and then there is scope for haggling....

When a caravan gets to that age its worth whatever you can get for it, a bit closer to Easter and you might get £5- £600 for it, but it all depends on the condition, yours looks OK but only a close inspection will determine that, any damp and you will struggle to get more than a couple of hundred for it. However best of luck.

Ok ... so its anything between couple hundred & a grand then  ... Think i'll start at the grand & work downwards

 

 

At that age it is difficult to assess without actually viewing.

If it is clean, tidy, everything works and most important NO damp or leaks then I think you could get up to about £700.

A dealer would probably give about £350 on a trade in.

If there is any damp then it is a different matter.

As said age don't matter, as long as the vans in sound usable condition it will sell.

2 berths are not the most popular unless there's room for a cot to make it suitable for a young family, theres and awning for older kids as well?. There's plenty of other extras so sell it on the strength of these and don't mention it's age.

Oven, fridge, and possibly the heater were extras on this van at the time!
