We have a Dorema awning and while number 1 son sleeps in a pup tent, we cannot put number 2 son in there as well without bloodshed! We are considering an annexe with inner bedroom, although I am sure I have seen inner berooms that can be used in the normal awning (wife not keen on that idea tho') Does anybody have any advice on annexes? Are they easy to erect, do they have any drawbacks? Do you think they are worth the money? TIA/
we have the dorema awning and got one of these, had a couple of small drips, and i dont mean them putting it up.but the rain was awful that day.it worked well in the end.

We have a bedroom annexe, no leaks as yet. The only problem I found was whilst on some of the busier sites where you are packed in like sardines there isn't alot of space. The first time we put it up we didnt realise just how big it was, if we had we would have pulled the van slightly forward because the annexe was touching the mans awning behind us, its a good job he was friendly and could see we hadn't put it up before.
So word of advice pull th van forward to leave enough room!!!!
But to be fair they are worth their weight in gold, a bedroom by night and a storage room by day.
With our 3 boys we have tried various solutions. Last attempt was: one in pup tent, one in awning in old tent innertent, and one in awning annexe with innertent. Next year we have to accommodate eldest sons partner too!
Hi, we have 2 annexes, one on each end, one for each child and if we only have one child with us the other one is still put up without the inner tent and we use it to store the bikes and dry the wet towels.
We use an annexe with sloping roof on our dorema, havent had any leaks on ours. The inner bedroom that fits inside the outer layer can fit 2 air beds no problems, also sleeps 2 adults aswell. Nice & cosy!!!!! Welcome to the UKCS!

Hello
We bought a new Dorema Senator lux awning last summer with two high annexes to go with our new van. The annexes were easy to put up & provided superb sleeping quarters for our kids. They love sleeping in them & to be honest, I was amazed by the quality of the whole awning package. I bought it over the phone direct from Dorema & had a superb service frm them from the advice given to me on the phone to the delivery to my door two days later.
If you're not sure what you need can I suggest you pick up a Dorema brochure from your dealer & give them a all direct. If you get the same service as we did you'll be very pleased.
Thanks to all for replies. Michael is yours one of those universal ones? they are on offer in one of the bits of bumph that came with this months caravan club magazine at £99.95.
Wife insists that it matches tho' so looks like we will be contacting Dorema direct.
