Whats the best stuff to use, to stick (not screw) the number plate on my caravan ...??

Its caled "TrimTape" and is available from Halfords etc.

It sticks better when warm so I usually put the tape roll on a radiator prior to use and warm the no plate and the area on the caravan with a hair dryer

I have used in the past stick on Velcro, use three or four strips vertical on the back of the number plate, then stick the furry pieces equally across length of the plate, cut same lengths of the hooks pieces and place them on the furry bits, remove the backing strip and carefully push in place on the caravan, with a little care you can remove the plates whenever you want to, and I have never lost a plate yet. I used this method so I could swop it between caravan and a little trailer I have.

I always use clear silicon, a thin strip along the top edge, keeps the water out, and a couple of dabs at the bottom.

Remove plate with a thin plastic blade to replace...or put a new one on top of the old one.

thats what i use john,the last roll cost £5 but three strips of this and it will not move.

Don't clean surfaces with paint thinner (e.g. turps), as this can leave a greasy deposit.   Use methylated spirits.

The best double-sided adhesive strips I have used are from Halfords, and are designed for the job.

I have used the Halfords stuff for years, it is at the counter where they make up the number plates, and never had a problem....except getting them back off.  You have to seperate the foam in the middle of the tape, then clean off the sticky stuff.

Just make sure that you clean the surface properly before you stick them on

Dont worry about them falling off.
