It amazes me how many people are completely ignorant of, or oblivious to the towing weight guides, and how they think the power of the car is the only important factor.
My dad's still the same...i have sat and explained the 85% guide etc, yet he still talks about towing any caravan fine with his 'big powerful car' .
I think you should leave them to their own devices Mickey if/when you get more potential buyers, I understand your feelings and moral obligations to point out various safety guidelines, but as you say it may well lose you sales.
Most 'newbies' learn all about the towing guides, weight's, loading, and all of the things that us UCKS addicts read up on daily, sooner or later, but for many the main objective is just to get the caravan home for the first time.
I must say that we bought and towed our first caravan a few times without knowing anything about towing guides, nose weights etc, and i'm sure a lot of members can admit to doing the same.
Let them get on with it mate!
