Hi Having bought a brand new Adiva last year my only advice would be very carefull I've had alot of problems and the whole experience has now just become a nightmare, wish I had never heard of Adria caravans. I know alot depends on the dealer and their attitude but I have been made several promises by Adria to help sort the problems out all have failed to materialise. See my post adria problems, this does only cover the major one there have ben several other issues as well.
What a shame to hear about Adria problems. I have a Altea 502 DK and to date (touch wood) have had no issues at all. I agree that the table is a bit of a pain, but on my model there is a large table that acts as the double bed base, and a small one that creates the single bed base. We have removed the large table and use the smaller one which is plenty big enough. We have made some "slats" like more traditional caravans that we store under the bench seats. I know that this is not something you would expect to have to do, but given what we paid for the caravan new and what we got for our money, we are extremely pleased with our decision. I hope that we are not a one off (or that our problems are around the corner), and that other Adria owners will be happier than John. Good luck - Shaun

Although I do not own an Adria, I know of several, and they are amongst the best caravans on the market. Yours is the one and only complaint I have read about or heard about ( other than litttle teething problems ) so I dont really think its fair of you to sl*g them off, every problem should be taken in context and not in isolation.
just waiting for it to arrive been told 2 weeks approx, had problems at the factory, but keep looking at the one at the dealers, just cant wait to make it ours, got the awning and alot of new bits they are the same van apart from the upholstery and name watch out for me will let you know how we get on.

I'm not sl*ging them off as you state I also have friends who have Adria's and are very happy with them but most are the older Forma's. If you have read my posting you will see I have had alot more than teething problems, the dealer has been a pain but more importantly is the fact Adria made several promises to help resolve the problem failed to keep any of them and then even failed to return calls as promised all this after I spent over 10,000 pounds on their product that they are supposed to offering a warranty on.
We have an Adria Altea 542uk....bought new last May....with having 2 teenage sons the lay out was ideal for us...the customer service we received from "Selston Caravans" was brilliant..
So sorry adriaJohn you are having problems...hope they are sorted out soon and that you enjoy your caravan...
we looked at the adria models and then found out they make the fleetwood range too. the fleetwood models look slightly better quality and they are cheaper. we got an awning to go with our van for the same price as an adria. you also get a few extras like a door screen, (keeps the midgits out) an alko hitch and alloy wheels etc. we chose the sonata symphony and will be picking it up on friday. never towed before but really looking forward to the easter weekend in yorkshire
Hi all a bit of bad news and a bit of good news on my front, over the weekend noticed one of the bigger screws fitted to try and secure my loose furniture had punched through the outer skin, when I rang dealer to report this have been made 2 offers a 2006 Adiva 532LT same model as mine but a newer model for a small fee or a good deal on the Adora 612 the new model. After alot of soul searching I think we are going to go for the 612, as we dont trhink we would be happy with another Adiva, as will always be waiting for problems, even though it is the more expensive choice, if anyone else has 612 any comments would be appreciated, only good ones though don't wan't to find out I've made wrong choice nearly ready to slit my wrists already.
