We often go away with our family, but finding 3 pitches all with a hook-up point available is not always easy, a splitter connector was suggested by a friend so i thought i'd ask you knowledgable folk first for advice.
Can these '3-way splitter connectors' adequately power 3 caravans at the same time on a site, all using regular appliances?
I assume there would be some power loss/problems, especially if a few high-powered devices were being used at the same time in the various 'vans, like a kettle, microwave, fan heater etc.
Does anyone use one, and if so how do you find it?
going away a bit,i once saw two caravans arrive one was mum and dad and the other was daughter and hubby plus one small child, anyway they pitched up across from us and dad plugged up the mains as usual, they then proceeded to plug in a long heavy wire going from dads van to daughters van, presume to pay only one electric hook up.i thought to myself is that legal?more to the point is it safe???? club site too.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I only asked because its not uncommon in Europe to see a hook up plug(van end) that has a 2pin + earth socket built in to it and that then relies entirely on the integrity of the site supply
