I always take at least 20 minutes to have a shower on campsite because it`s the only place I can be sure of getting a bit of peace and quiet away from the kids and Hubby.

I`ve been known to shower twice a day (all that mud!!) and take chocolate with me in the sponge bag....

Mixed toilets/showers are a good idea because it saves the problem of sending young childen into them on their own.

I always take my children (boy 6 & girl 3) into the shower with me - I wouldn't dream of letting my six year old into the showers on his own.  He is very young and small for his age.

The idea of family showers had the added advantage that parents can help each other.

I was brought up with the idea that the naked body was somehow "not nice", and should be kept hidden

and whilst I don' advocate  lets flaunt it for all and sundry adn don't beleive in "not nice" either, and if keeping my children safe means they see my husband and I naked so be it.

I also let them share my bed if they want.  In a few years time the last thing they will want is kisses and cuddles from me - so I enjoy it while I can.  I just think it is very sad that a section of society can turn innocence into something perverted.

I just find it very strange that todays pop stars can get away with overt sexual reference in their songs and costumes and dance routines that leave little to the imagination, yet a mother cuddling her son is soemthing that should be frowned upon.
