Why do parents take teenagers .who are going to band together with others on holiday to parks that can not cater for their energy..... bordom and . need to kick a football as hard and as far as they can .    Its easy to research the parks .... this site will do it for you......dont go where there is nothing for them to do ... find parks with football fields. all weather play areas swimming pools  ... table tennis...  amusement arcades etc .....and near  a  resort town with disco's to wear them out of an evening ....that way they are not likely to get fed up and go off looking for some trouble to cause . Take your teenagers to a quiet park with elderley couples who will complain to the park owners about every thing your big darling gets up to near them .....and you have a stressful holiday in the making ..... and owners who will bring in such banning rules.  Teenagers can not be made to sit and read a book in the company of mum and dad  in a canvas chair in the sun ................did you ?

Why is it the duty of society these days to provide entertainment for everyone?  Teenagers do not need to hang around the streets claiming to have nowhere to go, they all have homes. Surely responsible parents could take their turn in hosting reasonably sized teen gatherings?  Our daughter (now 20) used to have 3 or 4 school friends to sleep-over every so often and on other weekends they went to someone else's house.

There is also the cinema, Pizza Hut, Macdonalds, Youth clubs , 10-pin bowling etc, etc, and plenty of other sporting activities if they cannot make their own entertainment. Teenagers these days seem to have plenty of money.

Surely responsible parents ...

Unfortunately, not all parents are responsible.

My children are coming upto teenagers perhaps I should ban them from the house

On a different note, I agree not all teenagers are rowdy, but as a parent, children are good and damage free until you put them in a group and they have a little drink and they then end up stroppy and arguementative.

I just returned from the Devon meet and what do you call bad kids

The children were loud, but there was alot of them, all the pool toys got broke but at the end of the day they were having fun.............actually my children were banned from the pool when some children were in it so they couldnt get the blame.

They were not harming anyone and the people (working) on the site did pass comment but said it was a very profitable week

So good on the owner who banned the teens, its his business...there are sites that ban dogs, same as there are adult only sites....I know people with teens are up in arms but lets be honest (as parents) do you walk around with your child 24/7 and know everything they get upto. Show me a child that NEVER does anything wrong

I know mine are well brought up the school and other parents tell me, but they are no angels, I got my eyes wide open

And if it was my business I would ban them as well

As an afterthought what would happen if they banned people of different races!!!

They would be in breach of the Race Relations Act 1976.

Age discrimination legislation is due to be in place by Autumn 2006 but there will be exceptions.  This site owner might well go 'adults only' arguing that they do not have facilites for children.
