Glad I have booked everyting in advance this year as well.
I agree star - hands off our tent pitches
Isn't it funny to see all these people who have looked down their noses at you for having a caravan or tent and holidaying in the UK now buying vans and tents themselves and thinking how great they are going camping because it is now fashionable. I bet once one site it is easier to pick them out . Roll on next year for lots of camping bargains again.
On the other hand there will be families out there who have never considered camping before and will actualy fall in love with it and have many years of happy memories.
I personally don't find caravanning a "cheap" way to holiday, we paid 4k for the van, easily over £500 on bits and bobs to go in it, £24 a month storage and thats before we set foot in it! Add the site fees & petrol and we could've done many foreign holidays. Plus it's againt the law not to have a curry in the cafe at West Midlands Caravans.

...and who would those be....?
Seriously, while the article speaks of converts to caravanning, I wonder how many are enquiring about static caravan sites, as opposed to touring caravans and pitches?
I suspect the majority of the general public don't differentiate when speaking of caravan holidays, but only specify tourers when complaining about traffic holdups....

Was lookin at upgrading the caravan this year but think we will wait till next when there will be a glut of nearly new used once caravans on the market at reduced prices.
