Not sure if its any help but my mum and dad have a static at Billing and have done for the last 20 odd years. (Sad I know)  From what they have been told, the whole of the front end of the park is undergoing a 10 million pound makeover, all the way from the Go carts to where the arcades and waltzer and kiddy rides are.  This includes the indoor market and the swimming pool (at long last!!!)

As far as I can remember the last time they did anything with that side of the park was when they got rid of the old bottle shop.

They are having camping as hubby has just booked for nest July for the land rover enthusiast weekend.  Can't wait to see some improvements as the park its self is very nice (never liked the fun fair area though rather grotty).  The park has a good variety of wild life.  The security could do with tightening though.

I posted this on the camp sites section the other day, but just spotted this thread so thought I'd put it here as well.

To summarise the local newspaper article - They aim to have the whole complex fully operational by Spring 2006.  It will include new covered malls and squares with outdoor and indoor adventure zones, a New England style boardwalk overlooking Willow lake, there is also scope for a new family amusement arcade, health and beauty/fitness facilities and a variety of retail opportunities.  There is no intention of closing the park while work is carried out as the area is deemed to be self-contained and most of the work will be carried out out of season.  It comes after surveys were carried out round visitors and holiday home owners which showed the majority of people felt the facilities were only average and needed improving.

Latest update announced this week on improvements being made to Billing Aquadrome.

Gold medalist could build new ice rink
GOLD medal winning ice skater Robin Cousins could be drafted in to build an ice rink at Billing Aquadrome.
The holiday park's owners are planning to build a rink as part of the multi-million-pound redevelopment of the venue.
The rink would be almost 100 feet long and feature at the park every winter.
Park manager Paul Mackaness said the plans were still in their very early stages and pointed out that Robin Cousin's company, Cousins Entertainment, was only one of the businesses being considered to build the rink.
He said: "We're planning on building an ice rink and we'd have a whole host of different events on it.
"We'd only have it there in the winter but it would be undercover and I think it would work quite well for us.
"But we're still in the very early stages of planning it and Robin Cousins' firm is just one of the companies we're considering."
The major developments planned for the park will be based around a new area called the Boardwalk which will be based on a New England theme.
The area will also feature a family entertainment centre, a sports bar, climbing zone, food hall and health, fitness and beauty facilities.
After Northampton Borough Council's planning committee gave the scheme planning permission this week the company hopes work can start on site in the next few weeks.
Mr Mackaness said: "This will be something spectacular which gives everyone who uses the park a wonderful time.
"It was always our intention to develop facilities to enhance the Billing experience and we feel we have achieved that objective with this new leisure and entertainment complex."
Billing Aquadrome currently attracts about a million visitors a year. The venue, which has 235 acres of parkland, has been open for 60 years.
It is hoped the expansion plans could create up to 200 new jobs.
