Have you ever looked under a caravan when buying? You might say who does? I recently had a problem with the chassis of my caravan, I had a minorbump in a layby the nearside wheel droped over the kirb. It didn't both me untill I was ready to take of the wheels for winter storage. I found that the Chassis was cracked indeed broken . I made a claim on my insurance to be toldby the loss adjuster that it was a manufacturing fault. As I had purchsed the caravan 3 years ago as a used van 3 years old, I had no come back on either the manufacturer or the dealer. When the rails where removed for replacement it was now obvious that the chassis had been broken for some time and probably by the previous owner who had jacked back the damaged member so the it could not be detected. I had been pulling my caravan 1500 miles each year whith a broken chassis member imagine my thoughts!. The repair cost me £2200.00
