We have a 2004 Sterling Eccles Emerald. There was a problem with a mark on the middle window when we bought it last year and the dealer kindly offered to replace it FOC, it has taken till now to get it fitted as there was a problem with the original order for one reason or another, anyway as we walked towards the caravan to pick up for our 1st trip out since being told the window had been fitted my OH was disgusted to see that the middle replacement window is a different colour than the 2 either side. When asked the dealer about this he said 'it would weather' Well no it wont. Its a completely different shade colour. The side windows have a brown tint with brownish dot etching and the replacement one is clear and has a blackish dot etching around the edge.

It is clear they have used a new modern window which just for info. seems too heavy for the hinges as when we were away, we tried to open the middle window and it kept closing on itself no matter how tight we tightened the hinges.

Here is a link to my gallery with picture of front windows, where you can see the problem, so if any one can help me find asap either a matching middle window or 2 side windows so they all look the same I would really appreciate it.

I have looked on the net but not sure now what I'm actually looking for, do you replace the whole unit or just the window part, if it is just the window part, how on earth do you remove the hinge part which seems to be super glued to the window.

Thanks in advance of any advice given

Looking at the picture above the windows is a rail.At the ends of the rail there should be "stops".Take off the stop and the window should slide off along the rail. The hinge might be bonded to the glass ? have u tried any caravan breakers near you for other windows ?

Try www.eeco-ltd.co.uk . you normally send them your window and they match the colour and add all the original fittings. In your case it might mean sending the offending window and one other the right colour so they can match it up....

When getting a replacement window you need to supply the Roxite number. This is an identification number and can be found on the Polyplastics info which is stamped probably on the top righthand corner of the windows. The number in question may be of four numbers and will be on the bottom left next to the word Holland. I'll bet your two original numbers are the same and the replacement is totally different. This is probably the dealers fault for not stipulating the correct number.
I have had similar problems but don't want to go into that.
