Lovely little vintage 6 birth caravan. Affectionately named Nellie (Nell), bought with the intention to travel the UK and keep for a very long time and has its own Instagram account nellie_the_caravan where you can see all the below changes. Due to health issues we are now having to sell.
Good condition, damp free caravan. The interior has been decorated and the seats have grey covers made for them (original coverings are still intact). New grey wood effect lino, and new LED lights with USB points. We replaced the skylight as the original was broken. The bathroom is still original and has not been changed. Double bed at the front turns into table that sits four comfortably, with bunk bed at the side which turns into a table for two and a bunk bed at the back of the caravan with sliding door. The top of the bunk beds have been removed and stored indoors and will be with the caravan when sold. Kitchen has a sink, cupboard, fridge and hob. On the same side as the kitchen is a larger full length cupboard with shelves. Next to cupboard is the door to bathroom which has sink, shower and toilet. Caravan comes with an old style canvas awning which we have not used and a new Halfords leisure battery (bought October 2023). Caravan comes with original paperwork.
The truthful bits - The front window is cracked and has been made water tight, we have not replaced due to our circumstances. The tyres are over 3 years old and the caravan has been stationary since we have owned. The water pump does not work and will need replacing if you want running water. . The black seals on the outside are looking old and could do with being renewed. A lock on the front where the gas bottles are kept would also be advised. For an over 30 year old caravan the list is fairly small.
