Holiday Site Assistant Couple 2021.
We have a vacancy for a couple to join our site team for the 2021 season, April to the end of September.
Skye Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a franchise site of the Camping and Caravanning Club and operates under their policies. The site is a high end Visit Scotland 4 Star and AA 4 Gold Pennant site. This is run to very high standards, thus giving our guests a very good experience. We cater for a mix of caravan, motorhome and tent users along with pods and yurts. Our guests are from all over the world, many returning year after year. The site is based 12 miles away from the village of Portree at Edinbane on the shores of Loch Greshornish.
The successful couple must be physically fit and active, friendly, honest, outgoing, have excellent customer service skills and a can do attitude. Previous Camping and Caravanning club site employment is preferred but not essential. You must be extremely flexible in your ability to work in many varied and sometimes challenging situations. You must be prepared to work in all weather conditions. You need to be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a compact team and able to muck in when needed.
Your duties would be many and varied but would not be limited to. Taking customer bookings, dealing with online enquiries. Serving in our reception / shop. Showing guests to their pitch. Grass cutting, strimming, weeding. Pitch maintenance. Yurt and pod change overs. Cleaning of toilets and showers etc. to a very high standard. Refuse and recycle management. General DIY and maintenance tasks. Plus many more tasks that add up to the running of a high quality site offering excellent customer service and experience.
Your hours of employment would be 34 hours per week April and September, rising to 40 hours per week May, June, July and August. You would be required to work in a shift pattern, with five days on and two full consecutive days off. Your work days would include weekends, bank holidays and evening cover.
In return we would be offering a salary (figure TBC), holiday pay, work place pension scheme. Uniform. Wi-Fi. Free use of laundry. Enclosed hardstanding pitch (close to the site) with electric hook up for your own caravan or motorhome. If you have a dog it is most welcome.
