We are an award winning 5-star camping and glamping site in the shadow of Hadrians Wall. We are looking for a Warden couple to assist our current team.
Our beautifully located site consists of wooden wigwams cabins (some of which have their own private hot tubs), 8 luxury cabins, 1 lodge, along with touring and tent pitches. We have a petting farm for our young guests to join in with animal feeding; the ideal candidates will be comfortable working with both animals and children. The role does involve cleaning out the animals and daily feeding.
Our priority is to ensure guests have a stress-free time; the ideal candidates will need to be approachable and have a friendly and positive attitude. We are a small team who are passionate about continuously improving our facilities and our guest experience, so you must be flexible and proactive. The role is active requiring a lot of energy and enthusiasm from those who apply, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
The position involves assisting in daily duties such as the reception and our small shop, all aspects of telephone and online bookings, you must be confident in Microsoft packages Outlook and Word. Training will be given for our online booking system.
We pride ourselves on our very high standards of cleanliness and this role involves cleaning our amenities block daily, our cabins, wigwams and lodges on check out and other areas as required. There will be regular gardening and maintenance tasks including hot tub cleaning and checks.
The ethos of our site is being a fun, friendly and stress-free place, so it is important that our staff demonstrate personal qualities that support this.
Our site is owned by local organisation WCF Ltd, who are committed to sustained investment in future development. WCF is partly owned by its employees and we all have a personal stake in continued success.
This position will be to start as soon as possible. We are in a perfect location for you to explore Hadrians Wall and the surrounding areas during your time off and we have a friendly team to help you settle in.
You will need your own touring caravan or motorhome to live in whilst working for us. The role requires you to be on call overnight when covering the late shift. This position includes your pitch together with electric hook ups, free WiFi and use of laundry facilities.
The position involves working 30 hours each, although we can be flexible with this, over 5 days with 2 days off together each week. Hours may be increased as necessitated by the business. As such, applicants must be flexible in terms of days and hours worked in line with the needs of the business as this may be subject to change.
