We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Campsite Warden to live on site (in your own live-in vehicle) and join our small, friendly team for the summer season of 2024. As a Campsite Warden, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, and provide excellent customer service to ensure our guests have a memorable experience. Please note that we would consider a Warden Couple but can not guarantee that the hours outlined below would increase. Duration: Mid April - End September 2024 Location: The Macs Farm, Ditchling, East Sussex Hours: 30-35+ hours per week Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cleaning and Maintenance o Clean shower and toilet facilities to an excellent standard regularly. o Manage waste disposal, including litter picking, rubbish and recycling collection, and power washing out the bins. o Clean out fire pits and ensure they are safe for use. Site Security and Safety o Conduct late evening noise checks on-site to ensure a peaceful environment for campers. o Lock gates and perform site checks between campers leaving and arriving. o Conduct safety inspections around the site to identify and address any hazards. Grounds Keeping o Occasional mowing and strimming of the campsite and surrounding farm areas to maintain a neat appearance. General Maintenance o Some knowledge of general maintenance and basic plumbing is preferred but not essential. Hospitality Support o Manage traffic flow at our summer events to ensure the safety and convenience of guests. o There may be times where you are required to work in our onsite bar, food shack or on camper check-in. Requirements: • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. • Ability to live on site during the season in your own campervan. • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving. • Physical fitness to perform manual labour tasks. • Valid driving licence.
