Nestled in the dunes a short walk from Whitesands Beach and within easy walking distance of St Davids. Discover a peaceful retreat where spacious hideaway pitches are combined with five star modern clean facilities to provide an exceptional camping experience.
We are a small family run campsite and guest house. Peaceful, quiet, exceptionally spacious camping, set in an idyllic location on the St. David's Peninsula enjoying spectacular 360 degree views of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Once the sun goes down keep warm by the camp fire, enjoy the fabulous night skies and listen to the pounding surf drifting up from the beach.
On a sunny day, Whitesands fully justifies its reputation as one of the UK's finest beaches. Famed for its sunsets, when the fiery reflections only accentuate the golden colour of the sand, and renowned as one of the top surf spots in Pembrokeshire, it offers ample space for families and a convenient sliding scale of surfing difficulty - the experienced will find the best waves off the headland on the right of the beach, novices should stick to the left.

Set back from the sands and just beyond the sea-front golf course, ‘Dunes, a relatively new campsite that opened back in 2017, is the ideal, camping meadow for basing your Whitesands break. There are just 10 hideaway and 13 huge private meadow camping pitches on offer, hewn into heathery thicket and grasslands, each with its own picnic table and fire-pit.
While the place has a thoroughly laid-back feel - there are first class clean modern facilities - there are flushing toilets, hot showers, each pitch has a shelf in a fridge and freezer space for icepacks and charging points for mobile phones. Clever touches like the hot outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach, show great attention to detail, while the semi-wilderness of the meadow itself lends the campsite to parents who dont mind their children getting grass stains on their knees and molten marshmallows stuck in their woolly jumpers.
If youre not at the beach, its just over a mile to the smallest city in Britain, where you can explore the cathedral that gives St Davids its city status and duck in and out of the various cafes and galleries. Or, stay on the coast and hop from cove to cove and bay to bay, taking in the other Pembrokeshire pleasures - Druidstone Beach, Newgale Beach, Caerfai Bay, Little Haven, St Nons Bay, Marloes Beah… the list goes on. And thats before youve even considered a ferry out to the islands!

Nestled in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park there are numerous sublime walks right on your door step: Whitesands is a short walk down the lane where there are great views across the Sound to Ramsey Island. Feeling a bit more adventurous then head up to the top of Carn Llidi and take in this fantastic view.
Dunes offers easy access to Pembrokeshires award winning Blue Flag Beach. Probably one of the best beaches in the world. Whitesands beach is a large open bay bounded to the North by the remote rocky headland of St Davids Head and overlooked by the imposing craggy hill of Carn Llidi. In addition to Whitesands there are numerous secluded coves easily reached on for from Dunes campsite.

From Haverfordwest take the A487 to St. David's (16 miles)
Arriving St Davids you will pass the Ocean Haze Petrol Station on the left.
Continue on the A487 for 300m then turn right at the roundabout onto Glasfryn Road. At the T junction turn left on to the A487. After 100m turn right on to the B4583 (following signs to Whitesands Beach). After 100m turn left and stay on the B4583. After 1 mile and immediately after passing the Craig-Y-Mor B&B sign, turn left at cross roads. The entrance to Dunes at Whitesands Camping is 100m on left directly in front of the golf course club house just before the entrance Craig-Y-Mor Bed and Breakfast and just off the the B4583.
