Park Cliffe is set in 25 acres of picture-postcard countryside above the eastern shores of Windermere with sweeping views across the lake. Yet family-owned Park Cliffe is only a short drive from the M6, putting it within easy reach of many major towns and cities in northern England.
Just a short distance from Bownesson-Windermere, the park is in a world of its own, and you can spot an abundance of woodland wildlife, from squirrels and birds to foxes and deer. Children of all ages paddle and play in the shallow beck that meanders through our park, following it upstream where there is so much to discover. This fantastic, natural playground often proves even more popular with the kids than our specially designed adventure play areas! And for those who want to venture further afield, there is a range of walking trails direct from the park just begging to be explored! Join us here at Park Cliffe and discover your own little piece of The Great Outdoors!
We have hardstanding pitches with elec, water and drainage for tourers, trailer tents and motorhomes. Due to the sharp access from the main road the park is not suitable for very large motorhomes, please call for advice.
Tents are accommodated in two areas, Fellside (an undulating hillside, which offers great views of the lakeland fells - you can see Lake Windermere from the top part of the field). Ghyllside, which is an area across a minor road from the main park has allocated pitches, most with electric.
Our shepherds hut and camping pods are a cosy base from which to explore the local area. Our static caravans and holiday cottage are also an excellent choice for those looking for a comfortable stay!
A a range of modern amenities including: Bar and restaurant (seasonal hours apply, serving drinks & breakfast. Usually open weekends and holiday periods though we may close 1 or 2 midweek days ). The River Box food trailer (serving Friday & Saturday evenings during low season and 7 nights April to September) On site ethical, eco shop Private bathrooms to hire Games room Childrens adventure play area Free park wide WiFi
