Riverside lakes is a friendly family run campsite and working farm. we have lots of animals onsite, including baby ducks (yearly hatchlings), piglets, chickens and soon to have alpacas.
We love the aspect of our site, as in its back to basics camping but with a little luxury too. we have a small essentials shop on site. We also do pottery painting, and tie dying for the children and adults as a added activity.
We are hoping to have some children discos, and bingo nights lined up this summer so look out for this on our website.
Riverside Lakes is an informal, non-commercial & environmentally friendly campsite based in East Dorset, 8mls from Wimborne and only 20min to Bournemouth beach.
There are flat pitches within yards of the fishing lakes and limited electric hook-ups (100% of the site power being derived from wind farm or hydroelectric sources).
Chemical toilet point, recycling & rubbish bins, fresh water taps, luxury toilet block (including an environmentally sound composting toilet), showers & washing-up facilities. Waste water & sewage is processed & cleaned without chemicals on-site.
The large firepit seems to be really appreciated & we also have a couple of smaller, more remote, firepits & a number of open fire braziers for individual campers & groups.
We now have 5 metre & 6 metre Bell Tents Ready For 2023 Season. The new bell tents are fully furnished, with bedding, cooking facilities and a log burning stove in each and wooden decking and a bench table
