Description
This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, which accept caravans or motorhomes and usually tents. This is a club member only site - you can usually join on site
This is an adults only site
Pitches: 5 vans plus tents
Opening Dates next year: 01/04/2025 to 31/10/2025
Lockwood House is an Adults Only Site, sorry no dogs. Surrounded by trees in a private location with country views is an ideal place to relax with the convenience of nearby amenities.
We have installed 2 new showers (Free of charge),2 toilets + wash hand basin and hand dryer. Chemical Waste Disposal, Grey Waste and Fresh Water are also available.
Free WI-FI.
We have 2 hard standings, the rest of the site being grass.
The majority of the site is gently sloping.
The site is very peaceful and set within a 3/4 of an acre area of Lockwood House grounds totalling 2 acres, and not overlooked at all.
Recipient of numerous best CS Site Nominations.
A VERY PRIVATE AND TRANQUIL LOCATION.
A recent addition to the local facilities is Sainsburys Supermarket 1/2 a mile away now accessable by footpath via new country park.
Nearby Attractions
The nearest beach and attractions is at Dawlish Warren (1.5 miles) between a 5 & 10 minute drive from the site, with sandy beaches,go karting, amusements and food and drinks,there is also 2 very large car parks.
There is a bus stop about 400 yards from the site with a regular service from Exeter to Newton Abbot passing our site approx every 20 minutes, there is a pavement from our site to the bus stop.
There are a couple of small shops plus the new Sainsburys and petrol station all within a mile of the site.
There are railway stations at Dawlish Town and Dawlish Warren offering a variety of destinations.

We are located on the A379 directly opposite the Dawlish town sign, 2 miles out of Dawlish towards Exeter.
Be warned, sat nav will more often than not send you through the small lanes.
If approching from the M5 come off at junction 30 onto the A379 to Dawlish and you will travel straight to our entrance.
