Description

Fonclaire is a Converted French Farm Set in 25 acres of pasture and woodland in the beautiful countryside of the Haute Vienne. We have 12 pitches, 6 with electric (6amp) and 6 without. Each pitch is a minimum of 125m2, with a variety of sunny and shaded pitches.
Site facilities include a chemical emptying point, and a clena shower block offering four showers, 4 toilets and 4 hand basins, dishwashing facilities and washing machine (for a small fee).
We also have a large inground heated swimming pool with sun lounger`s and seating area to relax and take in the french sunshine and countryside.
If the swimming pool isn`t enough, we have 5 acres of woodland to meander around, a playground, football pitch, badminton, table tennis and a selection of large outdoor games.
In addition we also have 2 fishing lakes, a smaller family lake for youngsters and first timers, and a larger lake for more experienced anglers with carp ranging from 15lb - 36lb. And dont worry if you left your rods at home, you can borrow ours, free of charge.
In the evening why not set up around our large summer kitchen with BBQ and enjoy the sounds of the local wildlife whilst enjoying your dinner and watching the sun set.
We also have a shared camping cuisine if BBQ`s aren`t for you, we have a fridge / Freezer, oven, hob and microwave for your use as well.
If you`ve been on a long drive, or had a hard day and dont fancy pitching your tent, then ask about our fully furnished tents for hire, all will mattresses, bedding and solar lighting. Or if you want to take it one step further, try out one of our Glamping tents and get closer to nature in your own secluded area with private dining and electricity.
If you want to explore the local area, we have the local town of Bellac 10km north, or Saint Junien 20km south. In both towns you will find supermarkets, shops, restaurants and markets.
We are surrounded by walking and cycle routes through the mont de Blond. and just 3km in Mortemart is a golf course.
15km away is the historic town of Oradour sur Glane, which is a must see for historians, and anyone who wants to learn about the local area.
Lac Saint Pardoux is 35min drive if you want to experience on of Frances largest lac beaches.
